Not sure what weather seal is right for your roof? We can help with that!
When you use our brackets and anchors on your roof, it’s important to seal them with the right weather seal to prevent leaks and other mishaps that might happen if you use the wrong one.
TIN ROOF
If you are building on a tin roof, Roof Extenda advises using the FlashRite Weather Seal. This seal has been designed with a tin roof in mind and is not suitable for a tile roof.
The Flashrite Weather Seal comes in two colour options; Black and Red. They ensure you can seal the bracket to your roof seamlessly. The FlashRite weather seal is flexible, so can be formed to the roof profile, sealed with clear neutral sealant then fixed securely using class 4 hex head self-drilling screws with a rubber washer. The FlashRite weather seal can be retrofitted if required.

Roof Extenda recommends Class 4 hex head self-drilling screws minimum of 16mm long with a rubber washer to complete the weather seal installation process.
TILE ROOF
If you have a tile roof, Roof Extenda recommends you use the Flexatile or Aqua Tile to seal around your brackets and anchors.
The Flexatile has two butyl adhesive strips that attach the seal tightly to your tiles, making sure no leaks can get through. Especially after drilling into the tile during installation, where cracks can occur. The Flexatile keeps those potential cracks covered and protected from weather.
The Flexatile also comes in two colours, black and terracotta. So depending on your roof colour, you can also make sure your seal is camouflaged. The flexatiles can be painted using acrylic paint if you wish to perfectly colour match your roof.
The Aqua Tile has a fully adhesive back for complete water tightness. The Aqua Tile’s grey colour is also ideal for those with grey roofs that want their seal to blend in.
When you make your decision about which weather seal to purchase with your bracket or anchor, you can ensure you select the one that is designed with your roof in mind.
